Mindro vs Microsoft Copilot

Short answer

Microsoft Copilot (formerly Microsoft 365 Copilot) is Microsoft's general AI assistant across Microsoft 365. It works with the emails, chats and documents a user may access through Microsoft Graph, including SharePoint. Mindro is an end-to-end AI stack for corporate finance and M&A advisory firms, built around information memorandum creation from a digital twin of the target company and governed by the company realm. The two can work together: Mindro offers Microsoft 365 add-ins, and in a connected setup Microsoft Copilot can use the Mindro firm brain within the limits the company realm sets.

Use Copilot and Mindro together

Many firms use Microsoft Copilot for everyday Microsoft 365 work, such as Outlook, email, documents and meetings, and Mindro for everything tied to a mandate: IM creation, pitch preparation, buyer matching and client deal material. Microsoft's enterprise compliance controls and Mindro's company realm can work side by side. In a configured setup, Copilot can be connected to Mindro for less sensitive work, while mandate data stays in Mindro. Mindro also offers Microsoft 365 add-ins. How the company realm works

Copilot on SharePoint or a specialist stack?

Most corporate finance firms already keep their deal history in SharePoint and many already license Microsoft Copilot. Copilot answers from what each user can access; it does not build a digital twin of the target or draft an IM in your firm's template. Mindro harvests thousands of documents from SharePoint into a firm brain, holds them in the company realm, and uses them for the work a sell-side mandate needs: the IM, the pitch and the buyer list.

Why firms choose Mindro

Your firm builds its own AI capability on top of the expertise it already has. Mindro turns your deal history, precedents, buyer knowledge, models and IM templates into a firm brain that grows with every deal and that your firm owns, portable by contract. Generic and horizontal tools give everyone the same capability; Mindro compounds what makes your firm different.

  • Your firm is a corporate finance or M&A advisor and the IM is where much of each mandate's effort goes.
  • You need confidential client data kept in one governed, auditable environment.
  • You want data stored and processed in Europe, with every data access logged.
